I write my tunes in a variety of places, at home, in class, even at work. I am constantly forming ideas and mentally writing melodies. As far as recording, this song was recorded in the University studio by a friend and fellow Cincinnati Conservatory of Music student Josh Meyer.
I have provided a link to my latest single titled Disposable. “Disposable" is a IndiePop, RnB, Country record with a lot of soul influences. It is about #selflove ... not that weird self love involving lotion and napkins though, lol. But, true love of self. Looking yourself in the mirror and recognizing all of your flaws before anyone else, and despite whatever those flaws maybe, love yourself anyway.
the process of writing my last album Out of Left Field. I was withering down my options on producers for my music, hence the title "Then There Were Two". I talk about my producer Maddfrequency and Nico from Sweetspot studio pushing me to my lyrical limits and I am also talking to the love of my life, her name is Hip Hop.
This song is about a girl from a wealthy family, and the pressures behind coming from a wealthy family like having to be perfect all the time; have perfect grades, perfect hair, best behavior, etc. This can be hard on teens and sometimes they look for an escape from reality whether it is good or bad. In this case it was something bad, hence the title Fallen Angel.
We all have our own challenges to overcome, and music is how we turn that negative into a positive. We are always trying to capture our current emotions and incorporate that into our new material. We have never tried to sound like someone else, or jump on the newest trends, we just write music that feels good in that moment.
Turn On The Gravity is about just having the force of gravity to keep us grounded to life. "Can't keep my feet off the ground, everything's spinning around". There is a lot that goes on and sometimes it’s hard to stay focused. My music is inspired by all the drama around me and others. I take it as an experience and roll with it.
