This song is about..
learning to love yourself and being independent. It follows the story of a young woman, a talented dancer, who struggles in her relationship with her boyfriend and chooses not to feel heartbroken. She chooses to move on and get on with her life and pursue her dreams.

My music is quite diverse. I can sing a range of styles, from soul, to groovy, to funky, and I am only starting now to explore with sounds which are more pop-oriented than what I usually do.

How do you think this release represents your current direction..
As a singer-songwriter, my belief is that I can write on anything, as long as I like the groove of it. My new single sounds definitely more pop than anything I've done before, but the lyrics are my own. When I first started working with Chloe and MusiqMatch, I didn't know it would lead me to experiencing with new musical genres. I wanted to collaborate with other artists to learn and create original music. It's hard to know if this is my path when it could take a new direction tomorrow. I cannot say I will only do pop from now on, but I'm quite happy with this single and its quality level.

What piece of music advice forever changed your way of thinking?
Make the music you like no matter what others think you should or shouldn't do. Do it from the heart.

Music is a big part of my life. I sing my pain, my joy, my distress. I scream it sometimes. I feel like there's nothing like it. I think I am alive today because of music. For as long as I can remember, I've been singing and changing lyrics on my parents' favorite songs and trying to make them my own.

The industry changed with the digital era, and it's a good thing for independant artists. It puts your music right there for the world to hear, on the same streaming sites as your idols.
